Niyonsaba Magnifique

Niyonsaba Magnifique is a proud Burundian American, born and raised in a refugee camp in Tanzania.  She graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor s degree in Business Management and a minor in Economics.  While in college, she served as a vice president for Aggies Creating Sustainable Solutions, a student organization dedicated to training future nonprofit leaders to find effective solutions to social issues.  Additionally, she studied abroad in Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany to expand her knowledge in international business.  She is a passionate public servant who has served historically underrepresented communities by connecting them to resources.  Previously, she worked for the Houston City Council and the City of Houston Office of Business Opportunity, where she administered grants and co-managed the LiftOff Houston Business Plan Competition, an entrepreneurial initiative that empowered Houstonians with business literacy education and mentorship to start their own businesses while contributing to the growth and sustainability of the local economy.  A former Posse Scholar, she is planning to pursue a master s degree in Public Service and Administration at the Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.  Upon graduation, she plans to become a program or project development officer.  In her free time, she loves traveling, bonding with her family, and catching up with her friends.
